Valentin Noujaïm’s trilogy La Défense is part of the Festival du Nouveau Cinema, in collaboration with MOMENTA Biennale, and The Vega Foundation.

Pacific Club (2023), To Exist Under Permanent Suspicion (2024), and Demons to Diamonds (2025), reimagine Dante’s Divine Comedy from within the hypermodern labyrinth of Europe’s largest business district, La Défense. Built in the 1960s as a symbol of financial modernization in Paris, Noujaïm employs surrealism, film noir, and horror to animate the district as a monument to exclusion and capitalist alienation.

The artist will be present for a book launch at 5pm and conversation following the screening.
